Jim Brey is a Life Skills teacher from St. George, Utah. He has Bachelor's in Elementary/Special Education from SUU and a M.Ed from U of U. He has worked for Washington County School District for the past 29 years. He started as M/M special education math teacher before IDEA even mandated Neighborhood Schools for Life Skills. He worked in Middle School for 16 years, Intermediate 3 years, mentored and coached teachers for 5 years, and has taught Elementary for the past 5 years.
He is a graduate of the Utah Teacher Mentor Academy & The Utah Coaching Network. He received the "Excellence in Teaching" award in 2008 and The Signicant Disabilities Teacher of the Year from USOE/UPDC 2013. He has authored 4 articles in the Special Educator.
Mr. Brey has many years helping students thrive by setting up classes in Systematic, Structured and Predictable ways.
